Perry football will open the season next week for their first game.  The whole state will be able to watch as the Bluejays take on the Des Moines Hoover Huskies at Mediacom Stadium.  Majority of Iowa opens the season on Friday, August 30.  This game however takes place on Thursday, August 29.  Coach Vannornam has chills just thinking about the game.  He also added the boys are looking forward to the experience.  “Kids love playing on turf and having that kind of atmosphere.  I’m hoping we get a lot of people out for that game since you know obviously there’s nothing going on right so I know I have a bunch of family coming to town from Omaha to come support myself and our team.  Super exciting and I know the kids are excited about it.  I think you know Perry has something to prove this year and I’m excited for that.”

Kickoff is set for 7:30P on Thursday, August 29 as Perry takes on Des Moines Hoover at Mediacom Stadium.
