A Stuart man was recently arrested following an ongoing investigation.

According to the Stuart Police Department, officers investigated several incidents where alleged metal projectiles were launched at a home in the 500 block of South Gaines Street over several weeks. Investigators state that the projectiles were equipped with fireworks that were designed to explode upon impact. Officers found considerable damage to the house and distress to the residents. 

A search warrant was executed on Friday evening in the 500 block of South Harrison Street, the home of the accused, 52-year-old Bobby Glenn Agan. Officers recovered similar items with fireworks attached, along with several drug-related items, controlled substances and illegal firearms.

Agan was arrested and charged with several felonies and misdemeanors including stalking-dangerous weapon, two counts of his second offense for possession of a controlled substance violation, felon in possession of a firearm possession of an offensive weapon, possession of prescription medications, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stuart Police says that additional charges may be filed and additional suspects may be named.
