The Perry swimming team had four girls swim at the State meet last year. One of those returning is Quin Mahler, who hopes to return to the State meet. Head coach Jean Dowd expects Quin to take on a leadership role. “Her practice ethic. Her work ethic and she’s such a positive person that she encourages everybody on the team to do their best.” Perry also returns multiple other talented swimmers. “We’ve got Aleah Karolus, Cali Hernandez Jazmine Johnson and Lydia Nelson are also returning letter winners that are going to help our newer swimmers understand what’s going on.”
The season begins on August 29 for the Jayettes as they host Algona.
