As the Iowa State Fair continues through August 18th, results for individuals for Guthrie and Adair counties are coming in.

One youth in Guthrie County repeated as the champion for an animal calling competition. According to the state fair, Brody Steenblock of Panora has won the youth division for the Duck Calling Contest for the second consecutive year.

Several 4-H’ers are placing highly in their respective categories, with one purple ribbon awarded to Aubrey Kramer in the Horse Western Walk/Trot. 4-H’ers from Adair County have secured 25 blue ribbons, including entries by Carley Fagan in the animal science category, Lilly Kinzie in a number of Family Consumer Sciences categories, and Connor Beane in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics: Welding.

Members of Guthrie County’s 4-H clubs for their static exhibits have been awarded 19 blue ribbons, including Jaxen Knobbe’s bucket/bottle calf care kit, Shyann Young’s jellyfish photograph, Reagan Grow’s lap quilt and baked goods by several individuals. You can check out the other results below.
