Cross Country practice began this week for Perry.  The Jayettes return some star power with Lily Myers.  Last year as a freshman, Myers won the conference meet.  Myers will look to defend her crown and qualify for the State meet for the first time this upcoming season.  Her coach, Megan Maylum, on what makes her so good.  “How she works really hard.  You don’t see her putting in the miles and hours that she does in the summer.  I’m hoping everybody can work as hard as Lily this year and keep up with her. She’s a great leader for our team.”  Maylum is also excited to see what another Jayette is able to do.  “Taren Nehring he has a lot of potential to be really really good runner she had a lot of success in track this year.”  Both girls were apart of the Distance Medley team that qualified for State last spring.
