Greene County football senior Crew Conner was a quarterback in junior high and in his early high school years. He was moved to receiver in recent seasons, but is now back at the QB position. Gabe Ebersole was the starter the last two seasons, but he graduated last spring. Nick Madsen played a role as a backup quarterback last year until concussions ended his season early, and he did not return to football this year.

Conner talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about switching back to QB. “In the offseason Coach (Caden Duncan) told me he wanted me to take some snaps because we don’t have a lot of depth the way it is, so I just kind of started and it worked. I think it’s working pretty good.”

The Rams scrimmage at Ogden on Aug. 23, then open the non-district portion of the season on Friday, Aug. 30 at Linduska Field in Jefferson vs. Carroll High at 7 p.m. All Ram varsity football games will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
