A senior from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football team is making final preparations prior to the last go-around with his teammates.

Caleb Oberhoffer is playing Right Tackle and Nose Guard for the Tigers as he describes the other sports of basketball and track that he’s involved in played a major part with his offseason training to help him get properly ready. Oberhoffer notes that he looks up to his father because he has been a good role model in his life. He also is encouraged by a well-known defensive end in the NFL.

“I looked up to JJ Watt. I mean he wasn’t always a star player, but he became a star by working hard, in college and then making it into the NFL. He was very good.”

Oberhoffer details that his mindset on game days is to arrive to the stadium about four or five hours early to chat with teammates, conduct team meetings, and run through plays game speed. He mentions that the senior class has gone many coaching changes, but is looking forward to learning from ADM first-year Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch.
