Additional details have been released relating to the single vehicle incident that occurred Monday afternoon on Highway 141 near Bouton.
Dallas County Deputy Sheriff Bret Maxwell tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the sheriff’s office responded to a call at 2:47pm about a Blue Hyundai Accent, driven by a 55-year-old woman, that crashed into the median going westbound on HWY 141. Maxwell wasn’t quite sure about the cause of the crash but says the woman either was suffering from a medical issue or could’ve been distracted on the road.
The woman was taken to the Dallas County Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Maxwell notes that the entire vehicle was damaged. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Police Department, Bouton Fire Department, and the Dallas County Emergency Management Services all reported to the scene.
