A reminder that today is a grand opening and ribbon cutting for a business in downtown Jefferson.

No Coast Jefferson is located just north of Greater Life Chiropractic on the east side of the square. Owner Jacob Keller says No Coast is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and with the blessing of his wife and No Coast Urbandale, he started having classes in his home in March of 2021 with just a few mats. Then with increasing interest, Keller explains how a discussion with Greater Life owner Philip Heisterkamp got him to where he previously was, to the east of Greater Life.

“Almost three years ago, I talked to Dr. Philip and he said that he might be able to procure that building. And I looked in there and I thought that would be a vast improvement from where I was. I did double my mat space when we moved into that building, and when I moved into this building we’ve more than doubled our mat space yet again. So it just keeps growing and growing.”     

Keller invites everyone to his grand opening of the new facility from 1-3pm today, with refreshments served. There will also be a ribbon cutting held at 2pm.
