A new individual or organization will be needed to manage the Greene County Farmers Market next year.

Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County Board President Danielle Ross says their board has decided that after this year, they are no longer going to host the weekly farmers market. The Thomas Jefferson Gardens took over managing the farmers market three years ago and they have enjoyed it while they were able to host it. 

Ross says they believe having the Greene County Farmers Market is a great asset to the community and they hope a passionate person or group can continue to manage and host it. Ross notes that anyone who is interested in learning more about hosting for next year can contact her at 515-370-4028. This year’s farmers market will continue on Tuesdays from 4-6:30pm through September 10th.
