Iowa Department of Natural Resources Natural Resource Tech 1 Reaghan Oakleaf has been serving Springbrook State Park patrons for over one year.

Oakleaf joined the park’s staff in May of 2023, and says she has been having fun while at work. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she really enjoys the park and the people.

“I love it. I meet amazing campers all year round. Other than that, it’s thrilling. I love the job I do. It’s amazing meeting all those people that travel all the time.”

Oakleaf mentions that she also has enjoyed working with other park staff, like DNR Interpretive Naturalist and Educator Anne Riordan. She adds that her job is mainly tied to park maintenance, such as taking care of the buildings and camping areas, and that she also helps with camper registration.
