Perry cross country will begin practice on Monday, August 12. That first practice and the first week could be tough for those who haven’t been working out this summer. Coach Maylum says they plan to work hard this first week. “Well we’ve been having summer runs throughout the whole summer. The kids who came to those are going to be very prepared for tough practices and the kids who were busy and were not able to come are probably going to have a little harder time. We will probably start with pretty intense practices right away.” She also added those who haven’t attended the summer workouts will be behind. “They’ll probably be able to only be able to do a little less at least for the first week or two but then they’ll be on track with the others as well.”
Cross Country will have their first meet on August 29 at the Southest Invite in Gowrie. They will matchup with 15 other schools.
