Adel-DeSoto-Minburn’s Athletic Director Rod Wiebers is thankful for not only the support the community shows to the school, but the student athletes that earn spots due to their hard work.

Wiebers just completed his fourth year as the Tigers AD and it was a remarkable year with a couple of school championships won with the girls track and field team plus the boys golf team. There were great individual as well as team performances throughout the year, and offers the foundation for the future of ADM athletics. Regardless of the amount of trophies and accolades won, Wiebers  believes that the quality of student athletes and parents is the best part.

“The amount of support that our community gives our kids, and the amount of effort our kids put in, and I just can’t thank all them enough because they’re the ones that make this thing go.”

Wiebers points to the sportsmanship shown by the students of never hanging their head too high or too low. He shares that ADM fans are amongst the best in the state for encouraging athletes and showing up at games, whether at home or on the road.
