Two Greene County royalty will be represented at this year’s Iowa State Fair.

Grace Hardaway was selected as the 2024 Greene County Fair Queen. She recently graduated from Greene County High School this past May and has been in 4-H for 12 years and part of FFA for two years. She will now compete in the Iowa State Fair Queen Contest and talks about what it is going to feel like to represent Greene County.

“I think it’s going to make me hold my head a little bit higher to know that I’m representing this whole community now.”

The other royalty from Greene County is Sandra Dawson who is the 2024 Senior Cowgirl Queen. She will represent the Greene County Pony Express Riders at the state fair for the Iowa State Fair Cowgirl Queen Contest. 

The Cowgirl Queen Contest is scheduled for this Friday and the Iowa State Fair Queen Contest is slated for this Saturday.
