The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football team is counting down the days until the first game, with practice just around the corner.

The Tigers concluded the 2023 season with an overall record 7-4, after starting the season winning six of their first seven games. ADM Athletic Director Rod Wiebers explains that the football team dealt with losing players throughout the year.

“Battled a number of injuries. Had high expectations coming into the season, had a ton of great performances. End up getting beat by the eventual state champion Council Bluffs Lewis Central, we had them on the ropes, and had some opportunities to put them away and unfortunately just couldn’t do that, but to get to the second round in the playoffs and have a chance to be able to beat a top team at their own place is an amazing accomplishment.”

The Tigers will be seeing many new faces as 24 seniors graduated from the 2023 team. ADM has a scrimmage at Johnston High School on August 23rd, followed by the first game in Adel against Newton on August 30th.
