A Scranton man was arrested following an alleged incident in Grand Junction.

According to court documents, on July 14th at 7:25am a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a 911 call to a home in the 1000 block of Railroad Street in Grand Junction. The call was about an apparent explosive device that had been discharged in the yard of the property.

During the investigation, the deputy spoke to the two victims that claimed 22-year-old Jessie Sanders drove by their home twice throwing explosives in the yard. The deputy found one area where the ground was disturbed and had fireworks debris and the other had a shattered mason jar with black residue and gold paint. Court documents show the two incidents happened one hour apart. The victims said they saw Sanders driving the same vehicle during each incident. It was also stated that one of the victims has a bad relationship with the suspect.

Sanders was arrested on Thursday and charged with two Class C Felonies for second degree arson and use or possession of explosive material/destructive device. He was booked into the Greene County Jail and remains there under a $20,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
