A reminder that tomorrow Greene County will be represented at a state youth livestock competition.

Cedar Highland 4-H Club member Emmalin Wright is competing at the All Iowa Showdown. She qualified for the state contest from the Heartland Throwdown last weekend as the Grand Champion Breeding Ewe. She also had to qualify for the Heartland Throwdown from this year’s Greene County Fair where she was named the Supreme Champion Ewe. Wright talks about why she likes to show lambs.

“I was kind of raised around it and I’ve loved doing it ever since.”

The All Iowa Showdown are the winners in eight livestock categories from the regional contests and they all will compete against each other for the state titles. The program takes place in Oskaloosa at 12:30pm.
