A reminder that a huge annual garage sale is taking place today and tomorrow.

The Iowa Highway 141 Garage Sale will be going on all day today and tomorrow stretching from the City of Sloan to Grimes. According to the Highway 141 Sale Association, the entire route lasts for 177 miles. Highway 141 Sale Association Member Melissa Mann tells Raccoon Valley Radio that drivers should be mindful of increased traffic along the highway.

“Drive with caution this weekend, just drive slow, watch for brake lights, abrupt stops and turns. People are looking for those signs and looking for the sales set up of places where they can stop and do some shopping.”

Mann notes that the sale is in its 22nd year. Dallas County is featuring several towns that the sale will pass through including Perry, Dawson, Bouton, and Woodward.
