The annual Panorama Days get started tomorrow.

Panora Chamber Coordinator Erica Matthies says that this is the favorite time of the year for many in the community, with Panorama Days taking place this weekend. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what she enjoys about the festivities as a business owner and as a community member.

“I personally just enjoy the energy that’s around Panora for the weekend, and meeting new faces, seeing some old friends. And so that’s something that I always look forward to, and then, of course, family.”

Activities kick off tomorrow with a scavenger hunt from noon to 5pm in the town square, along with registration for the cribbage tournament starting at 1:30pm in the community center, and the tournament will begin at 2pm. Vendors are open around the town square at 2pm, with Chalk the Block starting at 4pm, a performance by Main Street Dance Studio from 6-7pm, and Cruise the Loop car show from 6:30-8pm, with vehicles lining up at Panora Auto Parts.

There will be a wine and yoga session at Twin Vines Winery beginning at 7pm, a Kids’ Cakewalk at the community center from 7-7:30pm, and Bill Riley Talent Show at Vets Auditorium from 7-8pm. Little Miss and Little Mister Panorama Days and the scavenger hunt winners will be announced at 8:30pm at the gazebo on the town square, and will be followed by a street dance with live music from Ghost Riderz from 8:30-11:30pm. The street dance is free, with the ability for individuals to Bring Your Own Beer and Bring Your Own Lawn Chair.
