The accolades continue to pour in for Perry junior Owen Myers. He was most recently named to the 3A Southwest All District team. Owen qualified as a utility player has he had a tremendous season pitching and hitting. The righthander went 5-4 with an ERA of 1.63 while striking out 79. In the batter’s box, he hit .391 with 7 doubles and 6 triples. He also stole 24 bases. Owen was one of fifteen guys to make the first team in the Southwest District. This is the third time Owen Myers has been on the All District team. Last year he was on second team and his 8th grade summer he was an Honorable Mention. Owen is the first Bluejay to make first team since Kaleb Olejniczak in 2018.
The Bluejays finished the year at 11-18. They fell to Grinnell in the quarterfinals of substate 4-0 on July 12th.
