The first high school football game at Linduska Field in Jefferson is set for Friday, Aug. 30 for the Greene County Rams. The Carroll Tigers provide the opposition in a non-district season opening contest on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. A new addition at the facility is new lights. Activities Director Dave Wright told Raccoon Valley Radio the poles and lights are up, but not all the electrical work has been completed.

The lights are a different style than the old ones, and Wright’s expectations are that they’ll be an improvement over the old lights. Coaches, players, fans, and perhaps especially the broadcasters, will appreciate being able to easily see all corners of the field.
