A spotter in Minburn was reporting dime hail around 2:17am with the storm continuing to move east towards the metropolitan area. There was heavy torrential rain, over 40 mph wind gusts, and constant lightning was striking the sky of Perry for close to an hour. The National Weather Service expired the thunderstorm warning in Greene and Guthrie counties at 2:25am, but continued the warning for Dallas County until 2:45am. The spotter from Minburn concluded at 2:40am that 1.5 inches of rain was in the area.
