Tina Lutterman has stepped down as the Head Coach for Perry Softball. Over the last 15 years, Perry had a record of 181-290-2 under Tina’s leadership. The former coach shared some of her favorite moments over the years. “2016 the highlight game would be the the Regional Final against Dallas Center Grimes and that final pitch making it to state that one would still bring tears to my eyes. That’s a big one. The way that my season ended this year, just the way the team dug deep and pulled out two big wins that were definitely not supposed to happen that is a lot of pride there too.” It was more than just the games for Tina. “The relationships that I built with the players over the years and those that continue to stay in contact with me and reach out you know. There are some of them that reach out in the beginning of May every year and to say hey I’m thinking about you today feels like softball weather. I just really cherish those moments and know all the little things along the way that just made it really fun.”
Tina became the Activities Director for Perry as she started her new role on July 1. She finished out the most recent season going 10-19 and playing in the Regional Championship. Tina is now tasked with finding her replacement.
