This weekend the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Booster Club is hosting a fun event.

Local Legends Committee Member Randy Carney says that the Booster Club is hosting their second golf tournament fundraiser. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about how the tournaments from this year and last year are different.

“It was a midsummer deal and we kinda threw it together real quick, and we got 12 golf teams to come out, and we just kind of golfed and had a good time. The people that attended had a really good time and said they really hoped we continued that. So we’re, trying to put it up on a little bit bigger scale this year and just have a good time and kick off the up and coming school year.”

Carney mentions that the four person best ball tournament will be Saturday at the Guthrie Center Golf Course, with teams able to check in from 8-8:45am, and a shotgun start at 9am. He adds that once the tournament is over, the Booster Club is also hosting a dinner at the new show barn at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds.
