Time is running out for public voting of this year’s entries for the Ring Out for Art contest in Jefferson.
There are four sculptures that are on display on the south side of the Greene County Courthouse and Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich encourages anyone who hasn’t voted for their favorite sculpture to do it.
“You have a chance to vote for your favorite. So go check those out if you haven’t yet. I know at least one of them is already purchased as well. If that one wins, it’s already going to have a home, we’ll see what shakes out with the public vote. So yeah, the Bell Tower is open 10(am)-4(pm) seven days a week now and it’s gonna actually be open seven days a week all the way through Halloween.”
Wetrich explains that the winning sculpture will remain on display until next May and the other sculptures will be removed by October. The winning artist will also receive a $500 cash prize and that is sponsored by Home State Bank. Voting takes place inside the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower until August 15th.
