Perry High School is looking to retain the support staff that was brought in following the January 4th shooting.
Many organizations rushed to the aid of the Perry Community School District after the tragic events that occurred. The school board approved to bring in several support administrators to assist the current staff navigating through the difficult time. Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks is happy with the resilience the community is displaying.
“We know that we are in this recovery journey, and it will continue into next year, but we’re also looking at how far we’ve come. We want to continue to grow, we want to continue to heal, and we want to continue to recover and that’s what we’re going to do.”
Wicks explains that Dr. Mandy Ross will be transitioning into the role of the Recovery Coordinator and there is conversation revolving around attaining an additional School Resource Officer for the high school.
