A local business in the City of Perry will be home to a ribbon cutting on Friday.

Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the organization is traveling to MC Snacks Friday afternoon at 3pm. MC Snacks’ location is at Caboose Park, 1101 1st Avenue, in Perry and operates from a caboose railcar. Pasutti describes that the business handles sweet treats as it sits along the Raccoon River Valley Trail.

“They do funnel cakes and hotdogs and corn dogs and the concession type snacks, and I think they’re going to have free funnel cakes for whoever joins us for the ribbon cutting, so encouragement to come out for that.”

Pasutti says that MC Snacks isn’t new to the Perry community as they’ve been a member of the chamber for many months. She adds that the business took over the location from Mex To You, back when they went by the name “El Train”, who now has a physical store in Perry. Friday’s ribbon cutting is open to the public.
