With the summer sports season over, we take a look at individual statistics for AC/GC baseball and softball players.

For the baseball team, senior Tegan Slaybaugh started in all 25 of the team’s games, recording 79 at bats, 15 runs and 25 hits, of which 23 were singles, one was a double and one was a triple. He also had seven RBI’s , 28 total bases, a batting average of .316, on base percentage of .426 and slugging percentage of .354. He also attempted to steal bases 11 times, and was successful on 10 of those attempts.

Slaybaugh also tallied 54 assists, 20 putouts and a fielding percentage of .914. He started six of the eight games he made it to the mound, for 34.2 innings pitched against 158 opposing batters on 574 pitches. Slaybaugh also recorded a 4.44 ERA and 2.02 walks and hits per inning pitched.

For the softball team, senior Emerson Van Meter started in all 25 of the team’s games, recording 78 at bats, two runs and 22 hits, of which 14 were singles, five were doubles, two were triples and one was a homerun. She also had 12 RBI’s, 34 total bases, a batting average of .282, on base percentage of .391 and slugging percentage of .436. She also tallied 22 assists, 11 putouts and a fielding percentage of .943. Van meter was the main pitcher for the team, starting in 19 of the 21 games she was in the pitching circle for 125.1 innings pitched against 547 opposing batters on 1,956 pitches. She also recorded a 2.68 ERA, 102 strikeouts and 1.4 walks and hits per inning pitched.
