The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
Farnsworth Group Architecture Principal Kristofer Orth told the board that he had a conversation with a member from the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) about putting an entrance way on one side of the new criminal court building in Adel, but the request was denied. Supervisor Kim Chapman wanted to follow with the individual from the DOT, since the recommendation came from the board itself.
Orth also gave updates about the new administration building as he noted that the building is still waiting on light fixtures, and some other materials that are running behind. The only other items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution to canvas the West Central Valley School Special Election and the acceptance of the post election audit. The board held an Emergency Management Services Workshop to conclude Tuesday’s meeting. Supervisor Mark Hanson was not present during the meeting.
