An event with the Dallas County Conservation Board is happening tomorrow, featuring some flying creatures.
The conservation board invites the public to join them for a bird hike that will give participants a chance to see different species. According to the board, summer can be challenging as many birds tend to go silent in the nest. However, by mid-July, more birds emerge with younger ones learning the basic necessities of flying and capturing food.
The organization states that a limited supply of binoculars and bird books will be available as the program will travel from parks to the Wetland Mitigation Bank. The event is free, taking place tomorrow at Voas Nature Area, 19286 Lexington Road, in Minburn from 8-10:30am.
