A week ago the Greene County High School baseball season came to an end with a 2-20 record for the season. Head coach Kyle Stalder watched his defense be charged with 69 errors in 22 games, so that’s one area he has his eyes on for improvement next season. Those errors resulted in 60 unearned runs, or nearly three per game handed to the opposing team, on average.
Pitchers for the Rams issued 97 walks and hit 34 batters, for another 131 batters reaching base above those getting hits or reaching on errors. With no seniors on the 2024 team, Coach Stalder feels like those numbers will improve with fewer errors, walks issues, and batters hit with pitches. He added that if the number of wins is going to increase next season, the Rams need to improve in all areas of the game.
