Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Schools is sending the softball team to the state tournament after defeating rival Winterset on Tuesday.

ADM played in the Class 4A Region 4 Championship game in Adel on Tuesday as they took down the Huskies 6-0. The first run of the game wasn’t scored until the fifth inning, then the Tigers piled on five more in the sixth to separate themselves. For ADM, it is the fourth straight year they’ve advanced to state. 

The Tigers improve to 29-9 on the season as Winterset concludes the season at 23-17. ADM will now play Fort Dodge Monday at 5:15pm, with Raccoon Valley Radio carrying the coverage on K107.9 KKRF.
