Perry softball had their season come to an end on Tuesday.  Dallas County foe, DCG, sent the Jayettes home in the Regional Championship.  Perry finished the year at 10-19.  Ten wins was one better than the previous year when they finished with nine.  They started and ended the year well.  The Jayettes were 5-7 after the first 12 games.  Then, an eight game losing streak happened.  The final nine games Perry went 5-4.  The Jayettes finished top four in the Heart of Iowa Conference as they went 6-8.  The offense was led by Karagyn Whelchel, who hit .454.  Pitching relied on Maci Tunink for most of the season.  Perry will have to replace 6 seniors for next season.  All 6 played in Tuesday’s loss to DCG.
