With the season over for the AC/GC Chargers softball team, we look at the teams statistics for the season.
Looking at the hitting statistics, the team recorded 647 at bats, 123 runs and 167 hits, of which 127 were singles, 29 were doubles, six were triples and five were home runs. There were also 106 RBI’s, five sacrifice bunts and two sacrifice flys. Players were walked 110 times, hit by pitch 14 times, reached on error 22 times, and were struck out 113 times. The team had 223 total bases, a .258 batting average, .376 on base percentage and .345 slugging percentage.
In the base running statistics, the team recorded 10 stolen bases on 16 stolen base attempts. When it came to fielding, the team had 172 assists, 486 put outs, 50 errors, 708 total chances, a .929 fielding percentage, two players thrown out while stealing, and 67 stolen bases allowed. In the pitching statistics, the Chargers had 35 pitching appearances, for 163 innings pitched, with a pitch count of 2541 and 756 opponent at bats. They also allowed an opponent batting average of .284, 215 hits, 132 runs, 94 earned runs, 55 walks, hit three batters, allowed three sacrifices, struck out 109 batters, had an earned run average of 4.04 and 1.66 walks and hits per inning pitched.
