The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team had their season end on Tuesday following a great battle with North Polk.

The Tigers this season concluded with a record of 16-15 overall (9-7 inside the Raccoon River Conference; third place). ADM had 842 At-Bats, scored 142 runs off 210 hits, 112 Runners Batted In (RBI’s), and struck out 197 batters.

Senior Grant Rychnovsky led the Tigers with 24 runs scored as well as 25 RBI’s. Senior Rhylan Stine-Smith (21) and Junior Jaxson Book (15) went two-three in runs scored. For RBI’s, Junior Grant Jansen (17) and Stine-Smith (15) were second and third in that category.

Rychnovsky pitched in nine games striking out 57 batters, while Jansen started nine games with 43 strikeouts. Junior Reed Ausdemore played in 10 games, finishing with 38 strikeouts and 8th grader Jack Siefken went 4-0 this season, striking out 16.

In the postseason, ADM beat Ballard 6-2 then lost a tough game against North Polk (6-5) in the Class 3A Substate 2 Second Round game this past Tuesday.

The Tigers graduate four seniors including Rychnovsky, Stine-Smith, Sam Kock, and Ben Greth.
