The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board conducted a canvass of the July 9th special election results for the West Central Valley School Board to fill open seats. The results were unchanged as Dustin Foster won the sixth district, and Jeff Dudley won the seventh district. Then the Board once again discussed the proposed emergency medical services system to be added to the upcoming November general election ballot. The Board has talked with Wixted and Company representatives, and are working to get interested individuals from around the county, and representatives from the different entities that would be involved, and will have Wixted contact them for opinions and perspectives that could help in the County’s media campaign.
Another matter ahead of the public vote that was discussed was ballot language, in which all the Supervisors agreed they wanted it to be simple, plain and easy to understand. Supervisor Board Chair JD Kuster will be getting in touch with the Sheriff’s Office on the request for public records from Robert Rehkemper. Supervisor Maggie Armstrong informed the Board that the company that is creating a new county website is on track to be finished and launch the website in September.
