The clock struck midnight a little early last night.  The Jayettes were on quite a postseason run to make it to the final but,  Dallas Center-Grimes beat Perry, 10-0, to eliminate them in the Regional Championship.  The Mustangs flexed their muscles and showed why they are ranked 2nd in the 4A polls.  The game ended in the 5th via the 10 run rule.  DCG scored 3 in the 2nd, 5 in the 3rd, and 2 in the 5th for the win,

Karagyn Whelchel had 2 of the 5 Jayette hits.  Tunink took the loss surrendering 10 earned runs and striking out zero.

The softball season ends for Perry with a record on 10-19.  DCG improves to 32-8 and qualifies for the State Tournament in Fort Dodge next week.
