Dallas Center – Grimes girls softball will be looking to make the state tournament after a one year absence tonight in Class 4A Region 3 Championship action when they welcome another team out of Dallas County to town in the Perry Bluejays. Dallas Center – Grimes is 31-8 on the season while Perry is 10-18.

DCG was able to handle their business on Saturday night defeating the Carroll Tigers 15-0 in three innings while Perry pulled a stunner on a 22 win Storm Lake team beating them 4-3.

Once conference foes, this is the first time that both of these teams have faced off since 2020.

DCG will be looking to make state for the first time in two years. They finished runner up at state in 2022 but lost in the regional final last year.

The game will be played in Dallas Center with first pitch to be at 7pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will be having two broadcasts of the game, with DCG to be on the KDLS2 webstream and Perry on flagship KDLS.
