Now a six time recipient of the Coach of the Year award, Panorama Panthers girls track and field coach Greg Thompson thanks his athletes and the community for their support. Coach Thompson expressed that without the internal motivation from his athletes, and the support from the community, coach Thompson would not have been recognized for his efforts with the Panther girls track team. Coach Thompson explained that he believes that his hands off approach with the girls is the answer to their success, and elaborate on how getting nominated for the award works behind the scenes. Coaches are nominated by their peers, making winning the award even more special, in Coach Thompson’s opinion.
