Severe weather made its way across the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area today.
The first severe weather warnings made their way into the area shortly before 4pm, and all three stations became involved in coverage by the Severe Weather Action Team by 4:30pm. Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams reported winds between 40 and 50 mph across the county, along with heavy rains. Winds also made their way across northern Guthrie County, as Weatherology reported radar indicated gusts of around 60 mph.
Initial warnings expired at 5:30pm, but Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team returned to the air for Dallas and Guthrie County at 5:35pm when new warnings were issued. Those warnings then expired at 5:45pm.
