Perry Softball extended their season Saturday night thanks to a 4-3 win over Storm Lake.  The Jayettes made the long bus ride to take on the Tornadoes and eliminated the 2 seed from the bracket.

Both pitchers were elite, especially early in the game. Storm Lake got to Tunink with one in the fourth. Perry would answer with one in the sixth. The Tornadoes took no time getting the lead back. Three straight hits in the bottom of the sixth gave Storm Lake a 2-1 lead.

Perry was down to their final three outs going into the top of the seventh. The offense exploded for 3 runs. The Jayettes would surrender one in the bottom of the seventh for the 4-3 win.

Karagyn Whelchel and Cate Erickson each had 2 hits. Tunink picked up the complete game win. Giving up 10 hits, 3 runs and 8 strikeouts.

Perry improves to 10-18 and will play Tuesday night at Dallas Center- Grimes. First pitch tomorrow night at 7P and will air on KDLS.
