Dallas Center – Grimes baseball and softball were both able to advance to their postseason  championship games over the weekend, with both teams winning in shortened games, the girls winning 15-0 over Carroll and the boys winning 15-0 over Sioux City West.

Both teams were ranked 2nd in 4A in the final poll and both were able to take care of business early and often in dominating efforts. With both teams having dominant regular seasons, both have been able to put themselves in good position to make the state tournaments next week and both are four wins away from being state champions.

DCG girls softball will be taking on Perry tomorrow night for the opportunity to go to state. That game will be in Dallas Center at 7pm.
