The Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game isn’t until 4 p.m. Saturday inside the air-conditioned UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, but coaches, players, and cheerleaders are already preparing for the contest. Proceeds go toward Shrine Children’s Hospitals and Clinics.

Greene County High School has Nathan Behne as a kicker on the South Squad and Maddie McCarthy on the Cheer Squad. Both are 2024 high school graduates.

Coaches and managers reported to the UNI campus on Saturday with players checking in Sunday and Cheerleaders report today. Among the off the field activities are a Bowling extravaganza, time at a water park, a picnic, and a hog roast. Friday inside the Dome is a Mini Kids Camp for Shriner’s Children and their parents/guardians. The Honor Banquet is Friday night with Saturday starting with the Iowa Shrine Bowl Parade on Main Street in Cedar Falls at 9:30 a.m. Kickoff for the game is at 4 p.m.
