Greene County ended the 2024 varsity softball season with a 4-20 record. The number of wins were the fewest in several years for a program that has had several winning seasons under the direction of veteran head coach Tom Kennedy. Graduating several key performers from the 2023 team that went 22-7, plus injuries to other starters even before the season began put the Rams in an unenviable position.

There were no seniors on the team this season, and the starting lineup mainly had two or three juniors, two sophomores, and five or six freshmen.

The team batting average was .270 with junior Payton Kokenge leading the way at .346. Others with at least 20 varsity at-bats were freshman Sara Morlan batted .328 with sophomore Kaycee Pittman at .288, junior Danielle Madsen .281, sophomore Addison Gannon .273, freshman Alivya Smith .262, freshman Alaina Heard .242, freshman Bellah Johnson .231, junior Violet Reedy .226, and freshman Makenna Ebersole .135. The Rams averaged less than four runs per game.

Morlan had the lone home run this season and she added a triple, three doubles, and was the runs batted in leader with 13. Gannon, Kokenge, and Smith also had a triple, with Heard and Madsen each collecting three doubles, while Reedy, Johnson, and Kokenge had a pair of two base hits. Ebersole doubled one time. Kokenge, the leadoff batter, led in runs scored with 16.
