The Adel City Council met in regular session on Tuesday.

The council started by approving Anna Phelps to fill a vacancy for the Historic Preservation position. Other items that were approved during the meeting included an agreement for animal shelter services between the City of Adel and AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport Incorporated, the first reading of a animal protection and control for the purpose of removing references to animal licenses and to increase the administrative impound fee, and an approval of the revised live trap policy.

Additional items part of the agenda that were approved pertained to a resolution for the fiscal year 2024-2025 fee for services, a City of Adel Employee Handbook for fiscal year 2024-2025, and setting a public hearing for proposed vacations of right-of-ways along Bradfield Street within Southbridge Plat 7 for 6pm on Tuesday, August 13th.
