Perry School Superintendent Clark Wicks discusses the progress that’s being made with the Dan Marburger Court.

The Perry School Community District is currently working on transforming the high school’s gymnasium to honor the late principal. Wicks previously shared that the board made a decision to rename the gymnasium to the “Dan Marburger Court,” after Marburger lost his life following the January 4th shooting. Wicks details the remodeled court’s end date is relatively soon.

“The planning and the design has continued to move, and we’re looking at about the last week in July to get the Dan Marburger Court completed.”

Wicks mentions that Marburger was a huge fan of athletics, the musicals, and the graduation commencement, which all take place inside the gym. After discussions with the board on how to recognize Marburger, Wicks says they came to the conclusion on the gymnasium. Marburger was the principal of Perry High School from 1997-2024.
