A representative with the Dallas County Hospital outlines the latest with the outpatient service.

Director of Public Relations of Marketing & Foundation Tom Harmsen shares that the hospital’s outpatient services continue to stay busy as they are reintroducing pulmonology. He describes that there are four providers from the Mercy One Department that are rotating to give that service on the first Wednesday of each month. Harmsen names a few doctors that have been serving different entities.

“Oncology and hematology with Dr. Joseph Merchant is back and he is in his first month of practice with us and doing well. And then ortho(pedics) with Dr. Timothy Vinyard doing sports medicine and then we’re also providing hand surgery too.”

Harmsen highlights that there are a lot of moving parts inside the hospital that are ever-changing but the organization is doing its best to supply comprehensive and accessible care for patients within Dallas County.
