The 2024 high school baseball season for Perry finished on Friday night after a 4-0 loss to Grinnell in the opening round of Class 3A Substate play.  The top seeded Tigers were at home and they improved to 26-11 after scoring single runs in the first and sixth innings, and putting two on the board in the fourth. The Bluejays finish the season 11-18.

Perry managed just two hits, a double by junior Owen Myers and a single from eighth grader Reid Iben. Myers took the pitching loss, going six innings and allowing two earned runs on five hits and three walks. He struck out six batters. The Blue Jays were charged with three errors.
