The final day of the Adair County Fair is tomorrow.
The festivities begin early with the cattle dog trials for the US Border Collie National Qualifying Finals will take place in the horse arena at 7:30am, and the Greenfield Methodist Church will host a biscuits and gravy breakfast at 8am in the courtyard. The Clover Kids bucket/bottle calf/lambs/goats and pet show will check in at the Mid-American Arena for their veterinary check, and from 10am to noon there will be a coloring quilt block “make and take” at the Varied Industries Building.
The West Central Valley FFA Chapter will host a future 4-H’er’s livestock and pet show at the Mid-American Arena at 11am, with weigh-in for monster arm wrestling and the two crust peach pie contest in the courtyard also occurring at the same time. The Farm Bureau Cookout Contest starts at 11:30am in the courtyard, along with the Clover Kids bottle lamb and goat show.
Many events start at noon, including the Clover Kids bucket/bottle calf show, monster arm wrestling and a pigtail contest in the courtyard. The antique tractor and car show will take place northeast of the fair entrance from noon to 3pm, and all livestock will be able to be taken home beginning at 1pm. Adair County Health System will provide free pop and water by the Mid-American Arena starting at 3:30pm while supplies last, with the livestock premium sale starting at 4pm.
The Wildwood Hills Ranch Horse Drill Team will perform in the grandstand beginning at 5:45pm, with Wright Rodeo Company to follow at 7pm. The Adair County Youth Council will end the night with a teen dance from 8-11pm.
