A Greene County High School teacher was recently recognized at a state conference.

Agriculture Education Instructor and FFA Advisor Raelyn Harris was honored as the Southwest Star District Advisor at the Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators Summer Conference in Ankeny. According to IAAE, in her past six years, Harris has been the Southwest District Representative on the IAAE Professional Development Committee, along with hosting two student teachers, a number of student observations and has previously hosted the Sub-District FFA Convention. Harris is currently serving as the Southwest District FFA Advisor.

The summer conference brings together more than 200 secondary and post-secondary instructors from across Iowa. It allows for sharing of ideas and collaboration, while also hearing from speakers and networking with other industry professionals.
